She began her career as a nurse practitioner and transitioned to the legal industry, reviewing tobacco cases. She was hired by a legal administration company in 2010 to create a medical review team for the World Trade First Responders Settlement. Crystal hired 60 nurses, created a review platform, created and drove processes, created a quality control process and worked closely with plaintiff attorneys and the special master. Crystal climbed the ladder into various leadership roles which typically were to turn-around underperforming teams. After taking a Vice President role to turn-around an underperforming product, Crystal led the product to 4x growth. Shortly thereafter, Crystal was tapped to be the leader of the company’s entire mass tort business. In this role Crystal had 300 employees, P&L oversight, as well as all teams including sales, client service, operations, consulting and advisory. Under her leadership, the company became the largest legal administrator in the mass tort and personal injury space. Crystal founded Bespoke Capital Consulting in 2022. She oversees Bespoke’s fundraising, strategic initiatives, and client development as CEO.

Meghan then moved on to manage the operational requirements of high-profile settlements, including Yaz/Yasmin, Actos, Biomet and NFL. Meghan’s full scope operations team grew to almost 200 people, including services such as medical record retrieval, medical record review, plaintiff fact sheet completion, allocations, lien resolution, and payments. She also stood up a quality and operations excellence team, driving efficiency, lowering costs, and increasing revenue. Meghan’s comprehensive approach to driving operational success through transformative tech solutions, standardized and documented processes, people development, and financial analysis helped Crystal and Lea push their former employer to become their industry’s top legal administration company.

LEA
MORRIS

VICE PRESIDENT OF STRATEGY

Lea Morris is an attorney and business development visionary who brings a focused, unique perspective to every project she embarks upon. Lea practiced law for seven years at Levin Papantonio Rafferty Proctor Buchanan O’Brien Barr & Moughey in Pensacola, Florida where she was an attorney in the firm’s mass torts department. Lea oversaw and ran multiple litigations and their subsequent settlements during her time at the firm, including Gadolinium, Trasylol and Avandia. From mid-2006 through 2009, while practicing law, she also co-hosted a daily news program called The Daily Left on GoLeft.tv, the most popular progressive news website at that time. Lea received her Juris Doctorate from the Cumberland School of Law in 2006 and is licensed to practice law in the state of Florida.

After leaving Levin Papantonio, Lea served as Vice President of Client Development at the industry’s largest mass tort legal administration, leading its sales team to back-to-back years of record-breaking bookings. From 2013 to 2022 her role also involved providing advisory and consulting services to mass tort firms. In that role, Lea worked with Crystal Utley and Meghan Butler to revolutionize the way the mass tort industry thought of outsourced back-office support. Lea’s idea of providing end-to-end support to mass tort law firms, spanning from case inception through resolution was brought to life by the executive and operational prowess of Utley and Butler, and resulted in the industry’s first end-to-end mass tort support solution.
